About Leanne
Leanne Ho (Li Yin Wang Ho) is an accomplished violinist, pianist, and dedicated music educator with over 28 years of teaching experience. She holds a Master's Degree in Music Performance and Literature from the University of Western Ontario, where she studied under renowned violinist Gwen Thompson. While at the University of Western Ontario, she was a scholarship recipient, concertmaster of the school's Opera Orchestra, and Teaching Assistant at the Department of Music Theory where she was an instructor for second year undergraduate sight reading/singing classes. Prior to graduate studies, she earned her Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance Degree from the University of Toronto, under the instruction of David Zafer. Her mentor prior to university was Margitta Krebs, conductor at the Vancouver Youth Symphony Orchestra.
Prior to a career in teaching, Leanne was an avid an active performer in Ontario, British Columbia, and Michigan. She has performed in orchestras such as the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, and was Assistant Concertmaster at the Vancouver Metropolitan Orchestra, to name a few. She also performed for charity and school enrichment events with her string group Quintessence.
Leanne is the founder of Bravo Music, a Vancouver-based music studio established in 2011. Through Bravo Music, she has built a thriving learning community where students receive high-quality instruction in violin, piano, music theory, music history, musicianship, and chamber music training.
Throughout her career, Leanne has helped generations of students develop a lifelong love of music. Her students have consistently achieved high marks and excellent results in examinations and competitions, and earned placement in some of Canada's most prestigious youth symphony orchestras.
With a strong foundation in both performance and pedagogy, Leanne continues to inspire and shape the next generation of musicians through her passion, expertise, and unwavering dedication to excellence in music education.
